Traditional Tea Room in Epworth Offering Delicious Food, Drinks, and Exceptional Service
Hatty’s Tea Room is situated in the heart of the small town of Epworth, famous as being the birthplace of John Wesley, one of the founders of Methodism. Epworth is a market town on the Isle of Axholme, North Lincolnshire, and due to is history, abundance of fantastic pubs and restaurants, plus unique independent shops, it makes a great place to visit and explore.
Open Monday to Saturday, 9am to 4pm, our fully licensed tea room prides itself on excellent fresh food and drink, served in a cosy and friendly atmosphere. Being well known for our delicious afternoon teas, as well as homemade cakes, cheesecakes, and sweet treats. We also serve a varied menu, including breakfast, lunch, light bites and daily specials. We can also cater for special dietary requirements. On the drinks front, we serve freshly ground coffee, a variety of teas, plus a selection of soft drinks and milkshakes. We also serve bottled beers, cider, and wines, as well as liquor coffees.
Being licensed means its a great place to treat yourself or others for those special occasions, with upgrades available on our afternoon teas by adding a glass (or two) of bubbly.
We can also provide celebration cakes, and cupcakes to order, with flavours, sizes and designs to suit all budgets and tastes. If you are looking for a place to hold an event of special occasion, we can also cater for private parties and functions, whether its a birthday, baby shower or something totally different, talk to us about hosting it in our lovely tea room.

Me and my friends love afternoon tea. After finding this place in April. It’s now a favourite. Been again today and still just as amazing. The sandwich selection is great. The cakes are amazing and also so are all the extras included. We’ve not had anything from the menu besides afternoon tea just others customers meals look good. I also think it’s quite well priced. Other places are dearer and for not as much food. Staff are lovely too.

I chose the venue for a family & friends get-together, after a funeral. The logistics – numbers, menu preferences and accommodation – were quickly sorted with Danielle ahead of the event. On the day, everything was ready for our arrival and Danielle, Amanda and the rest of the team made everyone feel welcome. The food, service, top quality food and relaxed atmosphere ensured a very enjoyable occasion. Highly recommended.
Staff were so attentive and polite – Nice to see Yorkshire Tea on the Menu. Will be returning very soon.

A big thank you this afternoon for making my Mum and Dad feel so special on their 50th Golden Wedding Anniversary. They both said its the best afternoon tea and service they have ever had.
